On the Linear Shift Invariance of Photon Diffusive Imaging in High Scattering Media

    The linear shift invariance of photon diffusive imaging in high scatter media is analysised based on the perturbation approximation. The image formation mechanism of the photon diffusive imaging system is illustrated for the noninvasive imaging measurements in medical application. The image obtained with this technique is a response of the inhomogeneities inside the sample to the imaging system. The feature of the photon diffusive imaging system can thus be characterized with a pulse spreading function.
