Statistical Properties of Laser Irradiance Scintillation in a Real Turbulent Atmosphere Throughout a Year

    We carried out a series of measurments of the irradiance scintillation of a He-Ne laser beam propagating through a real turbulent atmosphere in a whole year. The statistical properties of the irradiance scintillation, such as the scintillation index, the probabitity distribution, and the power spectrum were analysed. The effect of detector saturation on the accuracy of the measurment data was discussed.
