Dim Infrared Targets Detection Based on Adaptive Bilateral Filtering
A adaptive bilateral filtering method is presented for background prediction in small targets detection of infrared images. To improve the performance of small targets detection, the true image background is estimated adaptively via nonlinear combination based on low-pass domain filter and the gray level information of images.Simulations and experiments show that the algorithm is more efficient to detect the small target from complicated background compared with the method based on wavelet filtering.
