Purification and Analysis of the Error of Controlled-Not Operation in an Ion Trap
The error of the quantum controlled-not operation in an ion trap is treated. By introducing a measurement of projection, the error can be reduced to be a small quantity, or a second-order small quantity in some particular cases. The limitation of this scheme is discussed.
