Study of Extinction Ratio of Mach-Zehnder interferometer and Implementation of Single-Channel Optical Switch
The extinction ratio of Mach Zehnder interferometer is studied. A new structure based on Mach Zehnder interferometer and fiber loop mirror is presented. The characteristic of the transmission spectrum of Mach Zehnder interferometer is greatly improved. And a single channel optical switch is proposed and designed accordingly. The dynamic range of 37.4 dB is obtained in the switch.
