The bandwidth and signal-to-noise ratio must be confirmed while analyzing the detecting range of an IR imaging detecting system. Bandwidth and signal-to-noise ratio are related to material of detector, readout circuit, frame frequency, integration time and processing algorithm. Bandwidth and signal-to-noise ratio of infrared imaging system is analyzed. The effect of bandwidth and signal-to-noise ratio upon operating range is proposed.
