Bi_Directional Simultaneous Single-Longitudinal Model Lasing of a Er3+-Doped All-Fiber Ring Laser Using Composite Cavity

    A method to implement the bi directional simultansous single mode operation of fiber ring laser is proposed. Using the mode resonance characteristics of composite ring cavity and the mode decoupling between both clockwise and counter clockwise oscillating waves by the self built saturable absorption in a sub cavity under weak pumping, a bi directional simultaneous single longitudinal mode Er 3+ doped all fiber ring laser is demonstrated.
