Optical responsive deformation device has drawn wide attention in the field of bionics by its rapid response. In this paper, the prepared device that can achieves deforming and recovery property in the visible light band was successfully fabricated by using the electrospinning technology. By electrospinning the polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) fiber film contained with orderly arranged nematic liquid crystal 4-cyano-4'-pentylbiphenyl(5CB) upon the elastic thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU) substrate, the phase transition and the volume shrunk of the heated liquid crystal 5CB embedded in the electspun fiber film can be achieved. Finally, the substrate film can be blended by the shrinking of 5CB. Through adding the carbon nanotubes(CNTs) with well photo-thermal conversion efficiency in the visible light region to the devices by the way of electrospinning or coating, devices can be endowed with optical responsive deforming properties. Experimental results show that the prepared devices can be applied in the field of human bionics as the actuator by its prominent optical deforming and responding properties.
