Study on the Ne 1s2-2p anomalous pulse optogalvanic signal in the hollow cathode discharge

    Theoretical calculation and measurement of the pulse optogalvanic signals (POGS) of the Ne 1s2-2p and 1s2-2p-5s 1 transitions in the HOD is presented. The experiment was performed with a doubled-frequency YAG laser. It is shown that the cause of the Ne 1s2-2p anomalous optogalvanic signal was not the population inversion.
