Wavelength-Division and Beam Splitting Element Based on the Talbot Effect
The experimental results that a single element based on the Talbot self-imaging effect realizing both beam splitting and wavelength-division multiplexing functions are presented. For the input beam with two wavelengths, and by designing the parameters such as grating period and the fractional Talbot distance, the interleaved self-images in space of a grating corresponding to two wavelengths can be exactly observed in the experiment.
