Generation of Near-infrared Radiation by Non-critical Phase-matched Type-Ⅰ Difference-frequency Mixing in a LBO Crystal
The tunable near-infrared laser with wavelength range of 1.1~2.2 μm was generated by the different- frequency generation. In the experiment, the optical system was constituted of tunable dye laser (560~710 nm) as the pump light source and 1.064 μm laser diode as the signal light source ,the efficient near-infrared radiation was generated by the temperature-tuned non-critical phase-matched type-Ⅰ difference-frequency mixing in a LBO crystal ,and the average output power was measured more than 30 mW during the near-infrared radiation. At 1.54 μm the output power was measured 35 mW in the condition of the 1.2 W of the pump source and 0.31 W of the signal source, and the energy conversion efficiency of 11.7% was achieved. The peculiarity of broadly tunable and narrow spectral bandwidth of the near-infrared of the different-frequency generation has an extensive application.
