A Novel All-Optical Clock Recovery Experiment for Extracting Clock Signal from OTDM Signal

    A novel all optical scheme for clock recovery is demonstrated by non uniform optical time division multiplexing (OTDM) optical signal injection into model locked optical fiber laser. In experiment, 2.5 GHz subharmonic frequency clock signal is recovered from 4×2.5 GHz OTDM signal. The technique can be used in clock recovery in high speed OTDM communication.
