Modeling and Simulation of Radar HRRP to Ship Targets
Radar High Resolution Range Profile (HRRP) is a key step in the research of ship target recognition. Considering that it is difficult to make actual measurement or scaling measurement to the HRRP of large naval vessels, we proposed an effective approach for obtaining radar HRRP to the naval ships based on theoretical modeling method. Firstly, three-dimensional CAD model of the naval vessel was established. Then, the model was parted based on the panel element method and shadow of panel element was calculated. The target frequency response over different attitude angles was obtained by using electromagnetic computing software. Finally, the radar HRRP was obtained by making inverse Fourier transform. Modeling and simulation are presented based on an actual ship target, and analysis was made to the simulation result.
