Light-induced scattering in LiNbO3 crystal is highly dependent on the magnitude of the applied electric field. Based on the Kukhtarev and coupled wave equations, an analytical solution is given to the relation between the transmitted intensity and the differnet applied electric fields, and thus explain how the applied electric field diminish the scattering light.
