Magnetic Guiding of Neutral Atoms and its Applications
The principles and methods to magnetically guide cold neutral atoms using various current-carrying wires and permanent magnetic tubes and their recent, experimental progresses are reviewed, and some applications of atomic magnetic guiding techniques in atomic optics, Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) experiment and the developments of atom optical devices are also introduced.
